Who this service is for

Best for pools where pressure climbs within a day of backwashing, or water stays hazy despite correct chemistry.

Pressure is the signal

When your filter's pressure gauge climbs well above its clean baseline, the filter is loaded and your pump works harder to push water through. Ignored long enough, that shortens equipment life and hurts clarity. The fix depends on which filter type you have.

A clean filter with correct chemistry is what keeps water genuinely clear - one without the other shows up as haze.

Filter types and what each needs

Each media type is serviced differently. We handle all three residential types.

Filter service by type

  • Cartridge - deep-degrease or replace the element, inspect the manifold
  • DE - grid inspection, cleaning, and recharge with fresh DE powder
  • Sand - multiport valve lubrication and lateral check, sand replacement when spent
  • All - tank depressurization and internal inspection

When service becomes replacement

Cartridges lose their pleat spacing and bands over time, DE grids crack, and sand channels or goes bad after several seasons. When a clean no longer brings pressure back down, the media is spent and replacing it is cheaper than fighting a clogged filter all season.

We tell you when you've reached that point rather than cleaning something that won't hold.

What filter service does not include

We don't pressure-wash delicate paper pleats at high PSI - that damages the element. We also don't substitute off-brand media where it would void a warranty or hurt performance.

3

Tell us before a filter visit

  • Filter type - cartridge, DE, or sand (often on the tank label)
  • Current clean vs. dirty pressure-gauge readings if you have them
  • How fast pressure climbs after backwashing or cleaning
  • Whether water stays hazy even when chemistry reads balanced

Frequently asked questions

It depends on filter type, pool use, and debris load. Cartridge filters typically need a clean every few weeks in season; DE and sand follow different cycles. The real signal is pressure - when it rises well above the clean baseline, it's time. We set a cadence based on your filter and pool.
